I don't think anyone has realized it, but Tim is a major game breaker. His time rewind ability makes him invincible practically. For example, on a level in Hell, not sure which one, he can just use his time rewind ability to just hold still and wait for a flow of lava to go over him. He also can easily not get killed by projectiles such as missiles and Demon Maws. I understand the majority of you guys on this forum don't play the XBLA version, but he's pretty much the Xbox version of Steve.

I know none of you care about this, and you may have already known about it, but I thought I would bring it to attention. Maybe a patch that makes him non-invincible during time rewind?

When speedrunning you use different characters for different levels.
And i can only use him on a few levels to get the best time possible.
The major gamebreaker is Meat Ninja who is fast AND teleports through deadly objects which i used the most since he is patched away from the leaderboards.

The only place he's really useful is for getting 100% completion more easily, and if you haven't beaten the whole game with just meat boy, you're only cheating yourself.

He's not nearly as useful for speedrunning, so I could care less.

Tim is a game breaker, but not for what you described.

A glitch associated with his ability allows him to teleport straight to the end of levels on most levels, unless that's been patched out.

Considering he's pretty much the only xbox exclusive character that is good, I think it doesn't really matter.

Hominid and Spelunky kick major ass for speed runs.  And I personally think Spelunky is the most satisfying character in the game to play, out of both games.

But basically, yes, Tim really only helps get bandages and 100% completion.  He's not the greatest for speed runs.

Depends on your definition of "good." Naija is probably a better speedrunner, but I'd trade Spelunky for her any day of the week.

Yeah I know. But think about it. Who would you rather have as your 30 bandage character? Josef is alot better than alien. And on pc the 90 bandage character can reverse gravity. The 90 bandage character on xbox can double jump an fall slower.

Yeah, I will admit that Spelunky is pretty cool, but runman is faster, and jumps farther. Not to mention his sprint is way easier to control.

I'm not saying I would want to trade the PC cast for the XBox cast, just Naija for Spelunky. Also, I would never play as Josef or Alien Hominid so I don't care which of those two I had.

Main reason I said Tim was a game breaker was because he can become invincible at will with little to no effort, but with Meat Ninja it is somewhat difficult to time it correctly.

Yeah, but try dodging missiles with that invincibility time.  They follow you even when you're going back in time, and if you stay time traveling too long they will spinning on top of you till you let go and die.  His ability really isn't overpowered at all.

I only have PC and i used devmode to try out Meat Ninja and I really don't like him.Tim's fake invincibility is probably better. Can't wait to unlock Runman for real though.
