I understand your point, and I agree with it. But persistence is something I rarely have.

If your interested in speed running, don't be afraid to take risks. After all, the worst thing that can happen is you to have to begin at the start again.

1) most of the stages were designed to be 'speedrunned' using meatboy, so if you stop, and begin to think about next move - you're dead meat. I mean, you will die anyway, but finding and executing the fastest possible route is key to master this game

2) Practice, be patient and don't ragequit :P

I would consider myself an intermediate level player too, but I'm edging forwards of 86% complete through persistence. If you get stuck on a level you can always look up a video of it on youtube, sometimes it really helps. Mostly though, it's persistence. Fight through the blisters!
