Until Mann Co came out. That's just it though, Mann Co changed nothing. They still offer all their updates for free. In fact, now they have more incentive to bring out updates, they're happening more often. Remember when people complained that it had been MONTHS since a content update? Now we see them fairly often, and for that I'm grateful. You do not have to use the shop in order to play the game. In fact, I largely ignore it and just play. It's still plenty of fun, and it hasn't been ruined at all. You know you don't need to debate this so adamantly right? These people don't like TF2 and their minds aren't going to change. You do like TF2 and your mind isn't going to change. They have their reasons and you have yours, but what I see is you trying to prove that their reasons are wrong. Just because you "disprove" their reasons for disliking the game doesn't mean they're going to start playing again. I know that. I understand people stop liking TF2. But when they cite reasons that make no sense or aren't true, I don't like that. It means people who have never played TF2 and might be interested get a negative skewed opinion on the game. When people complain that weapons are overpowered just because they can't beat them, someone might see that and believe the game is extremely unbalanced, even though its not. That's the only real reason I reply. I don't say OMG YOU SHOULD STILL BE PLAYING THE GAME WHY ARENT YOU PLAYING THE GAME U NUB?

I would hate if people started ragging on Aquaria for not being able to attack, or on Mario because all you do is hold the d-pad to the right.

I miss the game before Scout Update. After that it became complete shit. Too many untested / bad weapons, too much tradespam, etc.

So have fun with that.

The point everyone is trying to make, I believe, is that while trade spamming obviously isn't a flaw of the game itself, it is still prevalent in the community. In a multiplayer game such as TF2 the way the community acts is almost as important as the game itself. If everyone is just asking for trades the whole time or doing whatever, it gets annoying and that can be enough to turn away people who would otherwise be totally down with a couple rounds of TF2.

Charging Tard Demos still existed. ETC ETC

'Tis a shame I stopped playing, then. I used to make TF2 Weapon mods, such as a Minigun that does extra damage, but has less ammo, puts Heavy down to 200 hp, and adds 2 hp per hit. I forget exactly what, but it was awesome.

We could probably make a thread for it, because you KNOW we want to just whore ourselves :P heres a 4 second video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x1FYBlsI8XU and a 14 second video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ytWGUcM9rcM respectively. One is of the Director's Vision taunt I used for a blog post I wrote yesterday, and the other is a snippet of Arena gameplay where I compression blasted a soldier to death :D It almost looks like my flames were what blew him up.
