I find it a way for businesses to get a boost in sales using Valentine's stuff. Sure, if it helps you get laid, I guess.
But for most of us, I doubt that (lol stereotyping)

Actually Valentines Day is not a made up holiday excuse for companies to make more money, not like Grandparent's or Boss' Day celebrations. Saint Valentines Day, to give it it's full name, has a long history, albeit not always with a romantic twinge to it, this has only come about in the past 200 year or so. |

Really? I didn't think anybody actually liked those things. I have a real problem with valentines day, simply from a logical standpoint. It's seen as this wonderfully romantic day when, in reality, us guys are simply forced into it. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy being romantic, but valentines day makes that impossible. Nothing can be sincere if your socially obligated to do it. |
