I did see that there are so many of this bug in this forum but ive unlocked rapture glich level 3 times already and it wont save, each time i re-unlock it by playing 5-1X with Naija over and over again, It gone each time i leave the game, please help me.  P.S in the 2nd time i unlocked it, after unlocking it again i beat 6-3 and it did save what i did but the glich level. |

This is the same thing that happened to me; I unlocked Rapture's glitch level using the same method, and from there on out my game couldn't save data at all. Please help!  |

I don't really know, I belive it's possible to open it with a text editor. It's not a text file, you need a hex editor as well as knowledge of where everything is saved. Gliblord, if the game refuses to save at all then you should probably backup your save file and then verify integrity of game cache by right clicking the game in your library, clicking properties, and then going to the local files tab. ...unless you have the D2D version, then just reinstall the game manually. |

Assuming the D2D version means direct to download, I have the Steam version. I verified the game cache, but the problem persists.  I'm fucked aren't I As for backing up my save file, I have my steamapps folder on my flash drive so I can carry over SMB data across compies, but right now I only have access to this dusty old laptop. |

Glitch level in Hell World is not saved through sessions. I can unlock it and it unlocks in that session. After closing the game, the next time I play SMB its locked again.  I have replicated this three times (although always unlocking it with the 6th light level). Help please? |

Try touching glitching bandage girl on a different level and see if that makes a difference.

No go. I have just unlocked it with the 9th and it doesn't save between sessions.
Also: did the game cache thingy and it doesnt do anything.

I have just beaten the Hell glitch level.  Only after this did it save between sessions (phew). So only unlocking it didn't save it, but beating it did. |

That is plain bizarre. Guess I'll have to beat Rapture's glitch level then. Any ideas why this problem arises with the glitch levels?
