After basically completing Life's a Glitch, I've decided to move on to something a bit more sane. I call it The Beginning because I'm using the end tileset (witty, I know), and it's kind of a new beginning for me, making levels that don't make you want to annihilate your controller / keyboard.

Here's the levels I've got so far:

Death o clock - http://www.mediafire.com/?hi7j7unyszqitra

Blackout! - http://www.mediafire.com/?zam29qppesx432o
(This level is kind of experimental, it involves a gimmick that may make it really tedious, since I'm the creator, I can't judge it that well, I really need feedback on this one.)

Blackout! v2 - http://www.mediafire.com/?8ctalyvi3k2gd3i
(The blackout lasts a shorter time, it's more speedrun friendly. Dare to compare!)

All feedback and constructive criticism is welcome!

Cool levels.  For The Blackout, I would give a tiny bit more time without the gimmick (staying spoilah free here  )  Its just a bit obnoxious but a really cool idea no doubt.  I would love to see someone non stop run that level.

Edit:  As for Death O' Clock, its pretty fun.  The terrain is jagged and hard to work with, but I'm pretty sure that was the point  .  First time I played the level it loaded wrong and I had like a second before I raped by the blade, but after that it was good fun.

Thanks for the feedback! Meat Boy

I'll probably have to mess with the timing of the gimmick in blackout quite a bit before it feels right. As for the death o clock glitch, that's an oddity with devmode that spawns you before you play, and then when you hit F1, everything is off timing wise, I'm sure that'll be fixed in the portal. But yeah, the jagged terrain is supposed to trip you up, luckily there's some room for error (unless you're going for the bandage ).

Really? I haven't played it, but I have a pretty good idea from the name...

I never really intended for the gimmick to be a big secret lol. In fact, it may entice more people to play if I say that blackout has a black foreground, with a white background, and the background "switches off" for a bit every so often, leaving you in the dark.

Anyway, thanks for bumping my thread, too bad I don't have much to show for it.

Well I do have this, a new version of blackout, the blackout lasts a shorter amount of time, making it easier to be brave and speedrun. Give feedback on if this is better or not:

I also have this (not going in the official chapter... Unless people respond well to it), I went into devmode with one goal, to make easier levels... I kind of failed on that one! I came up with this:

It's pretty brutal, and long. Luckily I have another project that involves hard levels. (don't worry, I'm going to keep it reasonable this time, this project is a collab, can't let the team down!)
