Something I think this game definitely needs and should get, is a multiplayer, if not a splitscreen mode. Imagine how fun it would be, instead of only the standard levels in the game, racing against others would be twice as fun. Or 2v2 team mode, to see which team finishes first.
Player 1: Meat Boy
Player 2: Bandage Girl
Player 3: Dr. Fetus
Player 4: Brownie
(eventual player 5&6: 4-bit, 8-bit Meat Boy)
Of course, including achievements.
Discuss: What is good or bad about this idea, what should be added?

Yeah, but they would have to remove levels with one way paths and stuff. What about those blocks that break when you touch them? What would happen if you die?

In splitscreen, the players would get separate levels, obviously, and their own breakable rocks, so that wouldn't be a problem. Now, in online multiplayer, I'd imagine the other players to be some kind of "ghost", like when you race Brownie in the Salt Factory boss, you go right through him. And in the replays, you don't see when the Meat Boys get the keys, etc, so my point is, that on your screen, the blocks will only disappear when you step on them, as if you get a separate pair of blocks from the other players' blocks. If that's possible, I mean. If you die, wouldn't you just respawn like normal? |

I said this before but here it goes again
how about a survival/point mode? hear me out...
maybe you get ten lives or something or just one it doesn't matter as long as theres a limit.
okay so 2 or (maybe even, dare i say) 4 players are put in a stage with many hazards. when all of the players are in the designated area (the designated area would also be the spawn) a will appear, the player who gets the bandage first wins a piont! the player with the most pionts wins. the game ends after a set number of points are reached or until everyone is dead ...
i would enjoy playing this how about you guys?

You posted a thread for a topic that already has over three existing threads. We don't need more duplicate threads clogging up the forums, especially ones about multiplayer. Team Meat is never going to add multiplayer to SMB, leaderboards are the closest thing to it you'll ever get.  |
