Well reinstalled and everything is the same as it was.  Maybe I messed up the re installation? Was I supposed to have a totally new game after I re installed it?  Because all of my data was there.

I have the same problem. put -ultralowdetail in and close all your other aplications. reboot your computer to get rid of scripts and backgroun programs. if it still happens, try other suggestions or wait for tommy to optimize the game. (SMB's code is deffinitely inefficient especially with animated graphics and screen scrolling)

In chapter 5 (The Rapture) level 8 you have to stand on a platform wich is moving downwards and avoid the saws. I keep falling through the platform (especially on the edges) or seizuring around until I fall through. The same problem occurs in a warpzone (The Kid, 2nd level - I just randomly die when I stand on the platform ). I didn't had these problems 1 or 2 months ago so i guess it has something to do with an update.

Anyone else here with the same problem or is it just me?

This glitch is caused by lag, and happened to many other people. Please run the game in low detail, windowed mode and if that doesn't help, consult the stickied tech support posts.
