1 A decent level, not a big fan of moving saws. I just don't like the idea. But I really like the tiny jumps and the secret middle jump. The last part annoyed me again because of the moving saw. I felt like you placed it there just to make things harder. I am not pointing at you now, I just feel to many developers puts in random saws to make things harder. Perhaps add a few more jumps?

2 One of my favorite levels. I do not like the disappearing blocks, but you used them marvelously. The challenge is perfectly hard, and you just want to keep trying. Never turns frustrating. The design is also really nice.

3 Nice idea, but I feel it disrupts the flow of the map. This map is just a tiny bit too hard to be number 3. Might ease it up a bit by adding a block or two on the bottom making the first jumps just a tiny bit easier. Decent level, some jumps felt a bit rough even when done perfectly. But nice idea, a dark world version would only need a different pattern to be extremely challenging ^^

4. Just no. Waaaaay too hard. Perhaps the last level, or at least the dark world counterpart. I love the idea, and I have a similar idea in the works. But as it stands now, too many pixel perfect jumps in a row. Really nice level, but god ease it up a bit. Only level I did not bother completing.

5. One of my favorites. The design is perfect. Visual stunning ^^ Really love the idea with the jumps. One of those levels that's really easy when you get the pattern. Should perhaps be moved a bit earlier in the pack. Nothing really to add here. Perhaps a bit too easy. But i really love it so please do not change it ^^

6. Nice idea... Love the first part of the map, until the room with the second key. Seems like you ran out of ideas and just placed a room there with a key to make the level longer. If in doubt leave it out. The first part is awesome though, perfectly challenging and fun.
Last part is just way too hard. If you are going to place something so hard in a map please place it first. If you rearranged the keys so instead of doing 1 2 3 you would do 3 1 2 or 3 2 1 the level would feel much better

7. Seems a tad long and random. The first part is really nice, but it does not quite fit in with the rest of the level somehow. I just felt like this level was long and you know dull.
Last key is also kinda strange, way too easy to obtain. I like the last part and dislike it. Cant make up my mind. I would therefore keep it ^^
Really like the second key idea somehow. Just feels nice.

8. I just feel you reuse the idea of this level just a tad too much. Going over the level twice is fine, but doing it trice is just meh. It is a good level, not as good as some of the others. I hate the saws at the top, perhaps because I have to pass them so many times. A advice would either be not repeating the level trice, or perhaps easing up some parts.

9. Nice Level, really like the beginning. Even though this level is tough, even when you know how to jump. Dont like the button in the roof in the big saw room. Somehow the wall should have less holes or more. It just feels a tad to hard for the rest of the level. Don't remove it awesome idea. Just work on making it easier to execute every single time. I just feel it is a bit luck based if I manage to reach the end before it closes.

10. The camera does not move, making this level insanely difficult. Please change it :p Even though I think it was a mistake.

My favourite levels, are probably 2 and 5 ^^ Awesome work dude.

Wow! Meat Boy

First i gotta say thank you for that very detailed review of my levels so far!
I can say i knew some of them may be too difficult for their place in the chapter so far but i wasnt really sure cus you know how it is when you play your levels over and over and dont really realize their hard  

I will definitly do some changes based on your post, so look out for that in the next update ;)

Oh and, the camera dosnt move in the last level?! it dosnt happen with me so idk if i can fix that!  

and another thing, secret middle jump on the first level? hm. they where all ment to be used ^^ and if you try to speed run that level, you will see the sawblades move perfectly for it :)

Yeah, this is sort of a mix between first impressions and second run through.
The first level were easier when i figured out how to jump over the saws withouth whaiting (tapping backwards during the jump)

Really nice work here ^^

 Wow. I thought I was an okay mapper. You sir. YOU ARE THE CHOSEN ONE (oh yeah what someone said, you can really tell that Edmund wants this on Teh Internets)

 Anyways the way I feel now must be the feeling all mappers get when someone else's work is put up by the developer.

Seriously, though, it looks very awesome (dont have time ATM to test) and I am 100% sure you will be on Teh Internets.

 You are. Dare I say it, I like these better than CRAMPS (oh snap sorry Nova, I just like The End's artstyle a lot and this is it. Don't get me wrong, Cramps is wonderful and extremeley innovative)

pro tip:
placing objects on the very top layer (layer 1) will put them above all lights. this will fix a few areas where lights shines over rocks in the midground layer showing the outline of tiles.

Oh thank you! i was thinking of that and wanted to fix it, it really annoyed me  
I found out about the backround stuff too so now i got nice cloudy backrounds on most levels and ive allso changed backround color.
Sins i started this chapter ive learned alot, thanks again!  Meat Boy

Hey, I'm checking this thread for new updates like every hour, the levels really look amazing! Haven't played them yet, but from the pics those look like they could've been part of the actual game. The Details are amazing, and (as far as one can say that without having them played) you really seem to put effort in the leveldesing (routes, difficulty, etc.). Really looking forward to your chapter, keep it up!

Just played the first 10 levels, first of all: they're awesome Meat Boy

Lvl 9 was too hard for me, the only one I didn't finish, but thats just my lack of skill.

Apart from that lvl 6 was the only one I couldn't speedrun, it just felt kinda long... liked it anyways :P

Don't know if anyone already found out about that, but in lvl 7 you can "shortcut" to the lower key by jumping over the saw in the center of the picture... and then you're stuck. Happend to me by accident 3 times while I tried to beat the lvl. Maybe use a sawblade a little bigger.

But that's the only thing I would change (if it's not on purpose for the way back down), the other levels are almost perfect as they are and I'm really looking forward to play the other 10. Best usermade pack I played so far.

With "stuck" I just meant not be able to get to bandage girl, so that you have to kill yourself

First off, the negative:

You can easily skip most of Level 11, as shown in this picture.



Likewise, you can skip most of Level 12 by jumping through the saws. It's not easy to do, but it's possible.



Level 13 didn't really do it for me, the level was pretty long and kinda eventless. You had a lot of backtracking to do (more than the other levels in the pack in my opinion). Finally, I beat it on my first try without too much problems. It felt too easy compared to the other levels in the pack.

What about the positive now? The levels are for the most part really fun, they all look gorgeous (I especially like the red glow you added to the lava in this new update) and it's really nice to see a level pack that use appearing/disappearing blocks. I found the difficulty to be just right, it's not too easy but the levels aren't too hard neither. All in all, this level pack definitely belong on The Internets.
