You guys aren't gonna believe what I've built. I don't even think I want to show a screen of it yet. Can't wait to hear what my tester thinks!

Only a few more till my chapter is finished. I think this is 15 down now.

With my luck it will get corrupted...

OH MY GOD. I just overwrote a level I had just finished with one I just started. The title in the save box doesn't blank out after you start a new file, so the old file name was still in the box and I hit save without noticing it was the name of the old file.

I can't believe how many times I've lost several hours of work on this chapter now, between this and multiple files getting corrupted.

I usually keep multiple backup copies as I'm going too for this very reason, but I got excited and had to start a new idea before I went through my normal process.

Ugh, I'm so tired of redoing the same levels... goddamn it.

It happpened to me once. Redid it and actually made a better level. That really sucks though...

Thanks for your sympathy... it was worse because I only just finished it like a half-hour ago, I freaking had everything perfect in it. The zoom level, the lighting, all the little details... now I get to figure it all out again. At least I have a screen shot to work by (I take them for thumbs to arrange level order within the chapter with). As soon as I hit save I got a huge adrenaline rush cause I knew I f'd up big time...

I'm glad it turned out to be better than the original. I've overwritten a wrong level two times now just the way it happened to you so I know how much it can hurt. Good thing we are determined enough to keep banging our heads against the wall since the ultimate result from these mistakes seems to always turn out to be great. Meat Boy

I just need one more level to close out my chapter and I've made 4 and can't settle on a good idea... sometimes the infinite possibilities of the editor make it hard to accept that anything you make is as good as something else you could make.

If anyone cares, would you rather have a:
  • Tower Climb
  • Agility Test
  • Thinking Puzzle
  • Jumping Puzzle
