X-5's a lot better than any of the other ones so far. Getting that third key was the only exceptionally difficult part; you gotta have some damn quick reflexes to dodge that rocket. If you're looking to amp up the difficulty, I'd recommend moving some of the other rocket launchers to trickier positions as opposed to adding additional threats.
The only possible complaint that I have is that the lock right by said key is really difficult to see. (It's sort of a problem I have with the original level too.) I think I'd change the floor surrounding it to something completely opaque so the lock stands out more.

You'll want to fix your lighting in the level, it goes through the salt and looks awkward. This would be solved by putting the salt on Layer 1 (Fore General 2), it'll appear in front of the lights. Similarly, I thought the salt on the top was part of the background due to the way it was shaded (considering it's lit up by sunlight) so I was wondering why I suddenly died on top of the level.
I didn't like the part where you have to backtrack for the key in the place where the warp zone appeared in the original level. It took me a while to even notice that there's a key lying in there and this place all around feels too dark. Unlike RyokoTK, I didn't have problems dodging the rocket; most of the time, I died there because I forgot I was on a conveyor belt so it sent me crashing on the salt.
At least this level is fun, unlike most of the other levels which were way too hard to be any enjoyable. Keep in mind that for the creation of these levels, you have to make your levels difficult, but not at the expense of enjoyment. It's easy to make a hard level, but making one that plays well and isn't frustrating is a different story. It's good to see that this level belongs in the second category and hopefully the other ones will fare as well.

I think this is the key point worth taking home. The most important thing is that the people playing your levels have fun. It's probably the biggest lesson for any level designer in any game. If that starts to conflict with your vision, it's your vision that has to change, not the players.

Aww...I thought the salt lighting looked pretty neat. How do I change the layers in a quick motion without destroying all the salt?
The lock...I could change it to fore title general and change the colour to gray.
The difficulty is not supposed to be that hard. I've learnt my lesson.
Anyway I have no time to edit now...maybe later.

Maru tells me to delete all my levels. FUCK YOU. If you hate a level, fine, I'll fix it. Come back in 2 levels or something. It discourages me when people just target me for bad levels.
One thing I learnt, "I'll fix it later" isn't a good excuse, if you see that something you made is bad, then fix it right now, without waiting. Also please don't fuck me in public, that's gross.

Hey, a 3-8 Remix! And it's not that hard! As in, not Cotton Alley hard! The only thing I would really consider changing is the first jump over the salt. I could barely get past that, using just Meat Boy. Overall, a pretty challenging level, and if the first jump was changed just a little bit, I could probably beat it myself. Nice work. Just a random question... why is there so much criticism on thsi board? I don't find anything to complain about. If it's hard, it's probably hard in design, like Alpha. No Quarter is sorta unfair, and so is Alpha.

Because we want levels to be good, not just "alright."

Well sorry. There's 5 days a week to practice my upcoming test, then there's 2 weekend days for me to do stuff. I mean, I'm not a bloody free-time person like most of you. I'm trying to do WELL in school, hence why I'm not able to do crap immediately.
And not all levels have to be good, I'm trying to do my best.
BTW Blatch, try to get as high as you can on the 1st bit of conveyer belt then do a jump.

And not all levels have to be good Okay this statement is just plain stupid. They don't have to be good but who will want to play them if they suck?

I rarely spend more than 3 hours on a level. 1.5 of those hours is playtesting.
