Hey! You found me! I would never figure out why you're here, but these are some old levels. The oldest of the old, in fact, when the only way to make levels was with the good-old fashioned -devmode. I'm currently spicing these up and releasing them to Super Meat World. These are vintage levels, and while they may suck, you're really gonna like what I'm turning them into...

Bloodletter Ridge: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?w9l881jm7ra16wz

My very first custom level! Set on a single screen, dodge the array of buzzsaws I have set out for you, and rescue the girl. There's also a bandage to collect!
Par Time: 12.00
Difficulty: Easy.
Bandage: Drop down between the saws at the right part of the map.

Forgiven: http://www.mediafire.com/?cz2jw6d6h5ms0st

A Salt Factory level set in a mostly barren, but highly protected area for you to play. It starts out with some frantic jumping between some missile launchers, then a precision jump over some buzzsaws, then a long jump over a large pit with a missile launcher above, and finally, some more buzzsaw jumping. Variety is always good!
Par Time: 20.00
Difficulty: Medium  Meat Boy

The Epiphany: http://www.mediafire.com/?ksff2ta01twojss
A tech-basey sort of Forest level, with lots of buzzsaws. It also has lots of buzzsaws, that move! It's not that hard, but you'll really have to book it if you want Par Time.
Par Time: 14.00
Difficulty: Easy.

The Sound of Drums: http://www.mediafire.com/?hgnl3iogx756gp4

Here come... the drums. *snickers*
Doctor Who reference for the lulz!
All joking aisde, this is a Rapture map. The key here is buzzsaws, homing and otherwise, with a Carrion King mixed in. Move from platform to platform, then, fall down the shaft to your girl.

Before you actually play the map, I must apologize about the ending. If I made it a little to brutal for your taste, don't be afraid to complain about it here.
Par Time: 30.00
Difficulty: Hard

Block Star: http://www.mediafire.com/?w6k236tea8s64f7

Well, for a Rapture level, this is pretty sane. You like Panic Switches? Well, in this level, you have lots of them, as well as Homing Missile Launchers, and Quad Missile Launchers.

Expect more advanced techniques from here on. I now know how the F8 menu works, so you might see Fans, Key Locks, and more Panic Switches in future levels. There's also a coloured background, which stumped me in past levels. I know how to do those now, as well. Expect more of those as well, including some "Dichchrome" levels.
Par Time: 20.00
Difficulty: Medium.  Meat Boy
Bandage: Not that bad. Get it by using the Panic Switch located next to Bandage Girl.

You prancing show ponies!

You seem to know how to use devmode's basic things, as nothing really feels out of place obstacle-wise or layout wise (although I have no clue about what you've attempted to do with the camera waypoints). However, like most early levels, the decoration is incredibly plain, moreso considering this level's on the forest tileset, which require far more effort to make look good than most other tileset in the game (except maybe Hell).

Check out some of the main game's levels (to load maps from the main game, simply enter their level number, for instance if you wanted to load the first level you'd enter "1-1" in the load filename, "1-1x" if you wanted its dark world counterpart) and check out how they're decorated. Make use of the various background layers and set piece objects in order to spice up its look.

First of all, I used the camera waypoints to attempt to put everything on a single screen. This was before I knew how to use the Ctrl+Shift combination in the camera controls. Everyone's first level has that certain tinge to it, and this level is no different than any of those.

And as for detail... yes. I will work on that a little more in my next level. Although that ones actually using the Hell tileset.

Seems like a good response so far. After my next level, I might start working on some mini-chapters, but full world chapters (Including my Runman chapter) will probably wait until the portal comes out. I'm also thinking about remixing something, although it's not any individual stage.

To make the level fit into a single frame, you'll have to draw camera bounds in your level.

In camera mode, hold the Shift key and then hold left-click in order to draw a box that indicate the area where the camera is allowed to be in.

Actually, I already knew about that. My next level will use that camera system. I was just re-stating that I know how to use it know.

Hope that clears some stuff up.

Double Post!

A new level has been added to the main page, titled Forgiven. It's a Salt Factory level. Hope you all like it!

My next update will probably be a teaser image. If you like, you can keep checking back for more!  Meat Boy

In general people like having sample pictures.  I, for example, don't like playing devmode at all so I only download the ones that look like they are high in quality.  If they look crappy or have no image available I don't bother.

Where do you copy the folder to / play these levels ? :P

That's easy. You go to the steam/steamapps/common/super meat boy folder, and make a new fodler titled "Levels". You then put some levels in there, load up -devmode, and punch in the exact name of the level you'd like to load.

Taking me, for example, if you'd like to load my level "Forgiven" you'd download the level, and put it in the "Levels" folder. After that, you would load it in -devmode. All levels you save also go in this folder. You can take them out and distrubute them later. Hope that helps.

Also, don't know if any of you have noticed, but 2 new levels, "Epiphany" and "The Sound of Drums" have been added to the main post. More levels for all! Meat Boy

Bump topic double-posting goodness. I like!

Another level, with more "Advanced" techniques, has been added to the main page. It's called Block Star, and it's another Rapture level. It has Panic Switches!

Oh, and I've added a teaser to the main page. Get ready for some really awesome

A triple post? I'm starting to feel lonely around here...

This post refers to my Teaser section. The first teaser is titled Double Negative, and the second is titled Nematode.

Nematode is a new teaser I added to the main page. Both of the teasers currently up there are from a chapter I'm currently working on. A full 20-Level, Meat Boy only chapter, my first with the editor. I don't expect this chapter to be finished until the Portal update comes out.

And I have given it a name, but I'm not telling what it is until I little further down the line. Now, anyone tell me, are you intrigued for this?
