Aquaria: need more than five words This game was fun but needed way, WAY more shit to do to be fully appreciated. I realize some people are going to get mad at me for saying that, but it's true. In fact, that is the biggest reason most people never even make it to open waters in that game. If there was more to do during the entire game and the tutorial shit at the beginning didn't take an hour or 2 to do before your first real dungeon, more people would love this title and get to experience its amazing soundtrack and visual presence
Nevermind, I'm pretty sure you're worse than hitler.
I wasn't saying it was a bad game. Rather the opposite. I pointed at the biggest reason people don't give the game a chance. I've had several friends drop it at or before open waters. One of which kept annoying me where to go and after I got him to open waters I suggested he explore the game to have him just quit immediately. The biggest complaint I've had is how open it is and how much direction it lacks. I realize it was done to give a Super Metroid feel by having to mark the map and come back later for things you gained the skill to do, but the amount of time spent uncovering a map and backtracking is just purely harmful to the experience itself. After beating the game once and knowing what to do, the game was a few thousand times more enjoyable the second time around. It's visually stunning and has an amazing soundtrack. Although some of its unique features such as the note circle (ocarina of time anyone?) can be completely avoided by using the numbers on the keyboard which kinda ruins that too. I personally would've added a lot more to do in the vast ocean, expanded the dungeons quite a bit since most of them were far too short (Sun Temple especially. I loved the puzzles in here but it was far too damn short), and added some sort of quest tracker feature that highlights on the current map section where an objective is or what exit to take to get to the proper map section. With the exploring killed, most the enjoyable game experience would be from submerging into the world via quests rather than empty venturing. To keep the lonely feel of the game intact, those extra side quests and expanded plot quests would be opened through the relics you collect. For instance, each boss drops one so why not tie them to where you need to be next? Or giving the painful task of finding the rest meaning by having them give you things to do for things like recipes or pets. I'm sure whenever Alex and Derek finally get back together, they will make those improvements on the next title (not saying sequel despite the ending since no one can predict the future). I know Alex has a ton of ideas on where to take the game as far as gameplay and story go that could be put into a sequel or totally new title.

Braid: Recycled from anothers flash game I hate to be the one to point this out since it is a pretty good game and Edmund did create the initial artwork before it got drawn on top of by another artist; but a good portion of the game including the story and gameplay was stolen from a flash game called "The Company of Myself", which was written and conceived of by another artist
I HATE YOUHow is braid (released August 6, 2008) based on a game that came out after it (11/22/2009) You can even check this here (look at the date of the blog post) and here (look at Submitted place) Sorry, I had to get that out. P.B winter bottem is a lot more like TCOM I had a whole argument written out when I saw the release dates, so it didn't matter
