Holy jesus. http://steamcommunity.com/id/Vince2501/screenshot/542890463937316138?tab=publichttp://steamcommunity.com/id/Vince2501/screenshot/542890463937314307?tab=publichttp://steamcommunity.com/id/Vince2501/screenshot/542890463937309565?tab=publicFirst stage probably took the longest considering the many times before that I first tried to beat it. Then a few hours ago I felt like 'okay, I think I know what to do now' and I got about halfway through the first stage but kept on dying. Then I studied that dude who beat the IWBTG levels youtube video and tried it again, after about 20-30 minutes I finally did it. I cursed at the screen in triumph. Then I got to the 2nd level which looked easier to me, and it kinda' is. But it still took an hour due to frustration and just bad luck. I'd get to the middle, try to double jump and die. Half the time that happened. But I finally got it and cursed triumphantly. Then the 3rd level, which also looked easy, but I realize how quickly those buzz saws come at ya, and keep in mind I'm playing with the keyboard (my controller died and waiting for another one) which made those repeated jumps even more difficult. It felt like Ed and Tom had seen that episode of the Angry Video Game Nerd where he suggested 'Why don't you just start off the game dead? Would that be hard enough?' and took it to heart with level 3. I never want to play those levels or anything equally difficult ever again. That is 3 hours or more of my life I am not getting back. In fact when the editor comes out I'm going to edit these levels and make them more fun and call them the F U edition. F U means of course Fun Universe.

Not yet. I just can't get a good grip on level 1. Level 2 is just elevators and level 3 is no harder than all of the other sadistic crap in I Wanna Be The Guy, so if I can just beat 1, he's mine.

Ah, I remember the first time I unlocked the kid over at a friend's house on his 360 (impatiently waiting for the steam release, for I only have a Wii), it took us 2 hours. It was quite manageable though because we took turns, and started listening to other music (as cool as the soundtrack is, the warpzone theme to chapter 5 gets grating after an hour!). It was such an accomplishment when we finally beat it and unlocked the kid, it was amazing!
Then my heart sunk as I realized I had to do it again come Steam release.
Fast forward to then, I got to the infamous warpzone as quick as I could, expecting the worst, I had a playlist of awesome music ready to go. I didn't need it at all though because I did what previously took 2 hours in a solid 10 minutes. Even though it took 1/12th of the time, the feeling of accomplishment was the same, I was impressed at how much better I got at the game!
The worst level for me was actually level 2. I love a good platforming challenge, but level 2 is all timing, and the way the second part is reversed, it really throws me off (this took over an hour the first time). Level 1 was second hardest (well until I had to play it as Meat Boy... PUBERTY!), and level 3 seemed the easiest.
I just dread the fact that eventually, the guy who made IWBTG is going to make a chapter based on the kid. 20 levels of THAT, it'll take days to beat!

I was unable to unlock The Kid on my cracked Mac version before the release of the steam version because the cracked version I had glitched every 45 seconds during game play.
If the glitch happened while you were on a platform, you would fall through it, preventing a successful win on the 2nd level of the kid, it was impossible. When I finally go the xbox version I was able to beat it, the third level I thought was the hardest. I'm about to purchase the potato bundle on steam today so I will attempt once again.
Oh and did I mention for the mac and pc versions I used the keyboard controls for the whole game. I somehow got use to spacebar and shift!!!
The keyboard has its advantages for jumps without the run button, and also the speed of your jump depending on your keyboard. The space bar on my macbook pro makes fast small jumping like level 4 on the cotton alley incredibly easy, while fast jumps o an xbox controller were a bit harder because you had to press down the button so deep!
None the less I have the kid now.

Hi there! I've been lurking around this forum for months, but I figured I might as well start posting. I have unlocked The Kid, twice. On the XBLA version it had taken me about 3 hours and 1200 deaths. The steam version I did in about 20 min and a lot less deaths. And I'd sure as hell do it another time if I had to!

I beat the first level. Then after equal time on the second I give up and I don't think I'll be playing this game for a couple of months now. The second level is just frustrating. I don't know what it is but I was actually having fun while losing at the first. The second is just horrible though.

I unlocked him... Before I made it to The End. And I did it with a keyboard too. It took about three hours, but it was worth it.

I unlocked the kid last night. Took about 2 hours, mostly on level 1. Level 2 and 3 took about 20 minutes each.
