So, have you unlocked The Kid? Don't worry you can vote no and change it later if you eventually do unlock him.
I am very proud to say I HAVE unlocked The Kid. ;D I recommend doing it while someone else in your xbox chat is also doing it, as talking it out with someone makes you feel more inspired to finish together. At least that's how I did it. So maybe everyone could share their tips for the people who haven't gotten him yet?

Haha, no.
As much as I play that game/torture myself I still haven't gotten around to completing it. I suck at those games, but I just keep trying and trying and eventually just go "Meh, alright, I will be back!". I then return and the same thing happens! No ragequitting though, that's just childish

I did, it took me a couple of hours (spaced by meals and the occasional "fuck this, I'm going to sleep" :B). I divided the stages in parts, then tried to master them one by one until the end (just like the rest of the game, right? =P)

Unlocked the Kid on my friend's file the first time I played the game. Was at a LAN party. Jumped on the couch I was sitting on. :P

Almost positive it took me like 5 hours or something back when it first came out on XBLA.
Also, I gained several thousand deaths in the process. Somewhere between 3 and 5,000.
Was not very good, but I was determined and continued to make terrible decisions and refused to exit and take a break, despite having already been playing the game like all day.
Needless to say, stopped after I got him, and my thumbs hurt for the next two days.

I didn't thought I will ever manage to unlock him, but after 4 hours of fighting against Rage-Quitting I finally got it.
Thank god these stages don't have 3 Lives Limits xD That would be a rage-quit inferno xD

Yep, took about 2 hours. Was frustrating, but stage 2 was the only one that actually annoyed me. The others just took a little learning.

Unlocked him as soon as I could get to his portal. It was a long ~2 hour process but it was well worth it.
I love his air control and used him to finish just about every level for the first time. I've since gone in and beaten most levels with multiple characters.
