how the hell did you manage 7.8 on 5-13 with meat boy
I tried fooling around with that particular level and only managed 9
also a question, do you use 4bit? he spawns faster than all of the other meat boys, it changes level obstacles slightly since you can get going sooner.
Just curious since I did use viridian for that level

And this is actually one of the few levels where it doesn't really matter how fast you spawn, because you'll be waiting for the blocks anyway at the start. This run is really just a race to the last block before it disappears. The secret to this run is to bounce off the 3rd block literally the instant it begins to appear then just run the route as precisely and fast as you can. As you can see 90% of my tries end at the 3rd block because there's no point wasting your time if you you don't catch it quickly, you'll never get to the last block if you don't. |

I tried the route and wow, hats off to you guys for keeping at that, I never made the final block, other times id completely miss it and sometimes I would miss it by a freaking hair. anyways http://steamcommunity.com/id/TunnelingEffect/screenshot/596959394025058311reclaimed 5-1 world record this level is very close to being pushed to its max, my replay has a few runmans ahead of the one I beat it with so its likely 10.50-60 is possible (not with meat boy or the kid for that matter) |

Ye I noticed tunneling, gj =). Though I will most likely beat it in the next few days. It's just the fact that I can't make the end properly.
Quite amazing how I got a time of 10.95 while smacking the ledge (with the 2 saws in the middle) & smacking the end ledge. Could upload it if you want =).
Edit: got 10.68, my ending and start could be alot better though.

Congrats, you most probably have the best Meat Boy time on that level for the Steam version (Exo is n°2 as you screen capture shows, and I'm probably n°3, with 6.65s).
Nice to see you reclaiming more times, keep it up !

If you want to TAS, just stream the game while playing. It'll run at ~1fps so perfect for all those TAS tricks.

Good one  But what about savestates? EDIT: Nah..., I can't just stop speedrunning  *gets 12.06 in 3-20 and beats Jinteks time* But sadly I got a faster run with Naija, so I have to find the replay if I saved it. |

^You bastard!  Good job there, I had a feeling I was still a bit slow passing through the key gate when it disappears. Anyway, I went to match my time of 7.82 (5-13) on 360 and ended up getting a 7.81 score just as I thought was possible...so now I've got to do it again on PC.  |

I think I've got two times, that are really hard to beat.
4-9 because I think my run was frame perfect (I got 2.30 with runman) and 2-19x with Viridian in 7.22, even though Naija can be faster.
But my strat was just so crazy that I really wanted to try it...successfully after a few hours xD
anyway, the most important thing although it's a bit offtopic:
I'm now able to SUPERDASH!

ladies and gentlemen I present you:  thank you, thank you. Please, no pictures. I'll be here all week. Who is the legit #1 for this map? I may have dethroned another meat boy level. If I only have to be .3 , I did 6.83 my first try completely winging it. EDIT: This is some bullshit, both 4-12's fucking glitched on me, in one day. I previously had 0 glitched records, and now I have two. I was working on the new 4-12x WR , when I went to go get the key on the right runman ran right through the fucking block, agh. I miss trials hd. T_T Isn't there a way to reset your time by modding the game save? anyone know? |
