Of course the match-ups are horribly unfair. Its the old tactic of pitting the expected winners against scrubs in the early rounds and the most likely to win far apart. This allows for the tense rounds at the very end as the best contenders will surely still be in the running. Imagine if [insert 1st choice] was up against [insert 2nd choice] in the first round. It's much more effective to throw the early fights. That being said, it's only effective at ranking the top few, and completely useless at placing any of the lower tiers. For the record, I prefer SMB to any Blizzard Game  |

Apparently no one here knows how seeding works.
Yes, I'm sure the brackets were done and reviewed heavily. It definitely wasn't some guy who popped random names into a random bracket for god knows what reason. I sense sarcasm. You're probably right. It's totally random that Nintendo, BioWare, Blizzard, and Valve, are all #1 seeds, especially when you consider Valve faced BioWare in the final last year. |

You guys don't get it do you? The fact that everyone is calling it unfair proves that they made the right choice. If Team Meat doesn't stand a chance against Blizzard on round 1, what makes you think they'll stand a chance in the final round? Its better to weed out the throwaways so the behemoths can fight for the prize in the end. The only better way is to not use a bracket, and think up a new scoring system. |
