Congratulations man! I've never thought of doing all those Iron-Boy runs a second time, and you've seemed to persevere a lot on that. Here, have a bandage: I might as well post my chart again, since it's been a while: KEY: = I got it! = I got it, but it gave me some trouble. = This is one I could be working on. Possibly right now. = I should could would get this one in the future, but not right now... = Oh my godnez, I might try for this one in the year 20XX, but it's gonna take a long time... Forest / Hospital / Factory / Hell / Rapture / The End / Cotton AlleyLight World: / / / / / / Dark World: / / / / / / Dunno when I'm gonna try for Dr. Fetus Boy again, this thread has been mostly dead since the level portal came out. Thanks! And without further ado, as promised, I literally just unlocked Maggot Boy again!!! My strategy was 15-20, then 1-14. I pretty much used Meat boy for the first half (and the two last levels), and the Kid for everything else, except 5-18 which I used Jill for...the Kid makes these levels a lot easier to not die on. But anyway, feels good. I guess I'll start my preliminary runs of Dr. Fetus Boy soon... Edit: A char tip on The Gate of Ludd, what I'd recommend is using either Flywrench to camp out on the right wall and dodge the last bullet to get Bandage Girl. OR use Jill and just sit tight on the right pulse and do it that way. I ended up doing it with Jill on my first try w/ her even after practicing using Flywrench. Weird how that happened but yeah. Everything else is pure Meat Boy/The Kid.

Can you switch a character in level and still complete that level? I know this was posted somewhere, but I can't find the rules for no death achievements.

Yes. You can use that to your advantage and save yourself from a death if you know you're going to die.

I'm trying to get Demon Boy using all available characters (yes, I'm bored as hell :P) I have 3 achievements left (dark salt, dark hell, dark rapture), and I had to find a chapter, where that piece of shit tofu boy could pass some level. Hell came in handy with 4-19x (and btw, I'm going from 1 to 20 level, so tofu's level is 19th in a row :x :) When I'll record a vid, I'll paste a linkt to that here. Peace EDIT: et voila: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EJAIfKAP_4c

Got Salt Boy today after half an hour of attempts. Yes, everything I do looks very stupid compared to most people in this thread. You people are insanely good at this game, I'm just passing by and enjoying the show. So, some tips for Salt Boy for the few of you who didn't get this achievement yet: 1) Do 17-20 first, maybe 12 too (if 12 is the one with the vertical moving shooter). Those were definitely the most unreliable levels for me. Especially 3-19... 2) Speedrun 3-2. I think the best way through this level is just hitting the little walls really fast. It takes some practice, but you will never die here once you get the rhythm down. 3) DON'T BOTHER WITH ANOTHER CHARACTER. Meat Boy is a very solid choice for most of the levels. Normally I would recommend the Kid for no-death runs, but you need the super meat speed to dodge all the missiles and whatnot this world throws at you. Also he has a lot of reliable routes throughout most levels. 4) There are 2 exceptions to this and I'll share them with you for the heck of it. For level 3-6 (I think?) The Shaft, you should use Captain Viridian. This makes it impossible to die unless you do something stupid. For levels 14-16, it's actually a good idea to pick the Kid. These should be the last levels you do (if you did 17-20 first) and are also some of the easiest. The Kid can break them all, and hey, you deserve a break. So, there's that. Brimstone Boy is planned for the weekend. I sure can't wait...

Kay, bumping this. I was practicing the speedrun today and accidentally got the Dead Boy achievement on video. As an extra, I also get Dr. Fetus without dying. Happyface So, I highlighted it on my channel so you can check my Dead Boy strategy (even though it's supposed to be a speedrun, I always play it safe at The End lol) http://www.justin.tv/stealthangel667/b/288779883

If you look at the global achievements for SMB, you'll see a new achievement, "BBQ Boy". I hope it's not something stupidly hard like beating Expert Remix without dying.
Edit: Could also be related to the Steam summer sale.
Edit 2: Ok, it gave me the BBQ Boy achievement immediately when I loaded the game. The description is: "Spend as little time as possible in Hell". I don't get it.

Yeah, I'd say summer achievement is a safe bet. So far the summer achievements don't seem too ridiculously hard. I'm guessing it has to do with Hell Light World because of the word BBQ.

I've currently only achieved Wood Boy and Salt Boy, the latter after around 2 hours of pain. I'm probably going to try Squirrel Boy next, if I can get over my frustration.
EDIT: Got frustrated with Squirrel Boy, so I achieved Needle Boy.
EDIT2: Recently got Dead Boy with little trouble, and Blood Clot Boy with a huge amount of it. I ended up doing 11-12, 1,8, 16, then breaking most of the rest of them with Viridian/the Kid.
EDIT3: Squirrel Boy Get! Also, this topic is dead, dead, dead.

I didn't care about the achievements when I first played SMB, but now it's summer so what the hell! I've only gotten 5/7 in the light world and ch. 1 in the dark world so far, but I'm going to try and get them all. We'll see how that goes.

I always feel rushed when trying to get these for some reason. I only have Wood Boy for now. Squirrel Boy was being an ass, so I went on to the hospital and my CPU decided start glitching on me. I'm probably going to go for Dead Boy if I can't get any others next. Yeah, I'm not really the greatest player of this game.

BRIMSTONE BOY GET!
Took me a while, and a really weird level path: 6-7, 15, 18-20, 5, 10, 12, 14, 16, 1-4, 8-9, 11, 13, 17
I actually had to stop for a while to beat my controller into a wall when I messed up on 11, which is basically impossible to fail with Captain Viridian, by getting distracted and flipping into the abyss. But I did it in the end.

No level is impossible to fail hehe. I spent 6-8 hours on Blood Clot Boy last night and I got within one or two levels of getting it at least seven or eight times but kept dying in stupid ways. it shouldn't have taken that long but I refused to stop playing when I became unfocused!
Now I have Zombie Boy, Demon Boy, Missile Boy, Girl Boy and Impossible Boy left. Not sure which one to do next, Demon Boy maybe.
