I'm a bit biased since I've been playing Battlefield Bad Company 2 nonstop, so no.
I think it deserved Indie Game of the year more than minecraft though.

Yes, not only because its awesome but because it will receive so much more content in the future for free, and if that doesn't make it a GOTY i don't know what makes one

Well... being as Minecraft hasn't actually come out yet, I would say yes, it was.

No because I played so many excellent games in 2010 (darksiders, Mario galaxy2, starcraft2 for examples ...). SMB is an excellent game too, but the other ones didn't make me say "I hate that game " ;). Also I only finished SMB in 2011.

Well, I can understand that. But I don't like sandbox game. So minecraft appeared as nothing special to me (beside cool graphics). On the same level, I'm not a big fan of multi player esport gaes. I bought starcraft mainly to plys with my friends and for the solo... And that was a deception to me. Not a huge one, but I felt like there is a huge potential, but they screwed up by what is probably the worse dialogs I heared in a game this year. Really, they should think about hireing ppls from telltale or some studios which can give the feelings dialogs were not written by a 87 y.o. boy. I'm waiting to see what's next but, honestly, it killed the epicness of SC1 & BW for me.

To be honest I bought starcraft only for the multiplayer which is excellent (and hard, that's why I play meat boy .... huh nevermind I didn't say that). I didn't finish the solo yet, but I don't really enjoy it. The musics aren't great, and you're right the dialogs are bad. The worst point of the solo is that you play only with terrans (obliged to wait about 2 years to play with zergs, 2 again for protoss...). I finished warcraft 3 solo campaign and it was way funnier, with all races.

It's still 30 missions as the previous ones. On the lengh, it didn't bother me and I liked the variety (you even have 3 missions with protoss... Which are sadly the only 3 epic missions of the game. The last being (for me) a microgestion nightmare).

Well, Super Mario Galaxy 2 was my GOTY. I really had a lot o fun with this game, even more than the first. It's so good that I feel really bad it didn't win that many GOTYs, but it will always be my 2010 GOTY. <3
And, of course, Super Meat Boy will be my Indie Game of 2010.

It was a tough battle between Super Mario Galaxy 2, Pokemon Black Version (Imported), and Super Meat Boy but in the end Team Meat came up on top.

the only game i had that much fun with was super mario galaxy 2, which was maybe the best game that i ever played on my wii. still, it was not only a million-dollar project but also "just" a sequel, while super meat boy was much, much more than a sequel to the original flash game. plus it's even more addictive. game of the year? smb. yeah, the NEW "smb". but not nsmbw, youknow? :D
